Fairfield University EMS Rescue Team is an all volunteer community service group comprised of over 40 students. As such, we have never billed a single patient for our services.
We now need your help to keep this tradition alive on campus. All donations are fully tax deductible. We are committed to our community and are proud to provide the highest quality of care to all students, faculty, staff and guests in this diverse community. |

Relying solely on the generosity of individuals and sponsors is challenging; the cost of emergency medical supplies, gear, maintenance and other life-saving equipment can be staggering.
Did you know…a single automatic external defibrillator, needed to save the life of an individual who has gone into cardiac arrest, costs over $2,500. Or that the cost to send one student through the Emergency Medical Technician class is $550. Most outrageous is the cost to purchase a vehicle capable of providing campus wide coverage cost over $70,000? |
2008 – 2009 GOAL:
We have set a goal of $50,000, a nominal fee, considering it will be used to purchase necessary start up supplies and a customized Vehicle with the capability of transporting crews and lifesaving equipment to all sections of campus. With a vehicle such as this, we would be more prepared to provide the highest level of care possible to our community.
