| Mission Statement
The Fairfield University EMS Rescue Team is comprised of University
students who share an interest in Emergency Services and volunteering
in the community.
Our members range from certified Emergency Medical Technicians,
Fire Fighters, and Lifeguards. Members who do not hold a current
certification have an interest in getting one or learning what EMS
is all about.
History
The Fairfield University EMS Rescue Team was approved by the Student
Organization Board of Governors (SOBOG) as an official organization
on Sunday, January 28, 2007.
Currently, the Fairfield University EMS Rescue Team is a student
run volunteer emergency medical service that has been serving the
Fairfield University community since January 2007. We provide Basic
Life Support (BLS) service, through highly trained Emergency Medical
Technicians (EMT), at numerous school sponsored functions and events.
In addition, we assist the Fairfield University Department of Public
Safety in providing emergency medical coverage to the University
during peak hours. We will also be responsible for running training
courses in CPR, First Aid, AED use, and in the promotion of EMS
awareness and campus safety to the University community.
